large;\"><b>SYNOPSIS<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>De retour de vacances dans leur appartement, Robert et Eva s\u2019aper\u00e7oivent de quelques changements : une dr\u00f4le d\u2019odeur pr\u00e8s du canap\u00e9, la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une plante inconnue, un probl\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9\u2026 Puis arrive S\u00e9bastien et Judith, leurs amis qui \u00e9taient charg\u00e9s de s\u2019occuper dudit appartement durant leur absence. Leur comportement est \u00e9trange. Ils sont \u00ab\u00a0sans g\u00e8ne\u00a0\u00bb, et investissent l\u2019appartement comme si ils \u00e9taient chez eux\u00a0: Judith leur propose un caf\u00e9, balance de la vaisselle cass\u00e9e sous le canap\u00e9, puis fatigu\u00e9e, leur demande de s\u2019en aller.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9dus\u00e9s, les pr\u00e9tendus propri\u00e9taires de l\u2019appartement s\u2019ex\u00e9cutent\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Perplexe\u00a0glisse alors vers les zones mouvantes et improbables de l\u2019absurde.<\/p>\n<p>Et comme par effet de contaminations multiples, le spectacle encha\u00eene une succession de sayn\u00e8tes, souvent incongrues, au sein desquelles les identit\u00e9s des diff\u00e9rents personnages ne font que fluctuer. une lourde trag\u00e9die allemande. J&rsquo;\u00e9tais malade, je devais avoir deux op\u00e9rations et j&rsquo;ai eu des probl\u00e8mes avec l&rsquo;un des acteurs principaux. Donc, j&rsquo;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s soulag\u00e9 quand les vacances d&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 m&rsquo;ont donn\u00e9 six semaines pour r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer avant que les r\u00e9p\u00e9titions se poursuivent. C\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0 que j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9crire Perplexe. Mes acteurs pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s me manquaient et je voulais \u00e9crire quelque chose qui me permettrait de passer quelques semaines de joie dans la salle de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition avec eux. La pi\u00e8ce \u00e9tait mon cadeau aux acteurs avec lesquels j&rsquo;aime travailler et aux acteurs que j&rsquo;aime en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Et c&rsquo;\u00e9tait un cadeau pour moi parce que je n&rsquo;ai \u00e9crit que des sc\u00e8nes que je savais pouvoir r\u00e9aliser et que j&rsquo;auraisaim\u00e9 r\u00e9aliser.Le contenu de la pi\u00e8ce a commenc\u00e9 par un cauchemar lorsque j&rsquo;\u00e9tais en vacances en Espagne cet \u00e9t\u00e9-l\u00e0. Puis, je me suis souvenu de certaines histoires que mes amis m&rsquo;avaient racont\u00e9es (comme l&rsquo;appartement de vacances nazi). Je me suis aussi souvenu de ce sentiment \u00e9trange d&rsquo;ali\u00e9nation qui m&rsquo;attaque parfois pendant les vacances et encore plus fort quand je rentre \u00e0 la maison. Et j&rsquo;ai essay\u00e9 d&#8217;emmener le spectateur dans un voyage comme \u00e7a. Il y a des questions philosophiques tr\u00e8s s\u00e9rieuses au c\u0153ur de Perplexe, mais elles sont envelopp\u00e9es dans des costumes amusants et des actions farfelues. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">Qu&rsquo;est-ce qui a motiv\u00e9 ce m\u00e9lange de forme et de contenu?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">La question de l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 et de ce qui est r\u00e9el et de ce que nous percevons comme un pi\u00e8ge est une grande question philosophique. Mais c&rsquo;est aussi une grande question de th\u00e9\u00e2tre. Donc, tous les jeux philosophiques qui se jouent dans Perplexe sont aussi des jeux de th\u00e9\u00e2tre. Les acteurs prennent et perdent leur identit\u00e9, comme les gens perdent leur emploi et leurs amants dans la vie r\u00e9elle. Nous connaissons les m\u00e9canismes \u00e9tranges qui rendent une personne roi et une autre servante. C&rsquo;est un jeu social et un jeu politique et un jeu th\u00e9\u00e2tral. Nous savons tous que l&rsquo;acteur qui joue le roi n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;un acteur. Nous lisons son nom dans le programme. Nous l&rsquo;avons vu dans d&rsquo;autres spectacles en jouant diff\u00e9rentes parties. Nous lisons des entretiens plus ou moins intelligents qu&rsquo;il a donn\u00e9s. Et nous savons au fond de lui qu&rsquo;il a une vie priv\u00e9e, un amant, peut-\u00eatre des enfants, il boit sa bi\u00e8re \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de nous dans le bar au bout du quai. Mais nous sommes toujours pr\u00eats \u00e0 accepter qu&rsquo;il soit le roi, nous voulons qu&rsquo;il soit le roi et rien d&rsquo;autre, nous le faisons roi. La question est de savoir comment nous pouvons \u00eatre notre propre identit\u00e9. Qui est l&rsquo;auteur qui \u00e9crit nos lignes? Qui nous rend roi ou serviteur? Qui est le public? En 1996, il \u00e9crit Haarmann \u00e0 partir d\u2019un fait divers des ann\u00e9es 1920, chronique d\u2019un tueur en s\u00e9rie surnomm\u00e9 le \u201cboucher de Hanovre\u201d puis Mademoiselle Danzer et Rois du couteau. Suivent en 1997, Cr\u00e9puscule des monstre et Visage de feu, pour laquelle il obtient le prix Kleist d\u2019encouragement aux jeunes auteurs dramatiques et le prix de la Fondation des auteurs de Francfort en 1998. Puis viennent Psychopates (1998), Parasites (1999),<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">L\u2019Enfant froid (2002), La Pierre (2008). Visage de feu est cr\u00e9\u00e9 \u00e0 Munich dans une mise en sc\u00e8ne de Jan Bosse en 1998, mont\u00e9 \u00e0 Hambourg par Thomas Ostermeier l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante. Collaborateur de l\u2019\u00e9quipe artistique d\u2019Ostermeier \u00e0 la Baracke du Deutsches Theater \u00e0 Berlin, Mayenburg rejoint la Schaub\u00fchne quand le metteur en sc\u00e8ne en prend la direction en 1999. Il y travaille depuis comme auteur, dramaturge, traducteur (Sarah Kane, Martin Crimp, Shakespeare, Ibsen) mais \u00e9galement comme metteur en sc\u00e8ne.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"fr-FR\">En 2009, il y monte Les Pigeons de David Gieselmann et Die Nibelungen de Friedrich Hebbel.
